The location is perfect, right in the middles of the historic centre and in walking distance to museums and so many lovely restaurants. This hotel is in an ideal position for exploring the old city of Naples. Hotel, situated not far from Central Railway Station, new Metro Line 1 and Maschio Angioino castle, Royal Palace and San Carlo Teatro, in a quite busy and noisy road of the city but very convenient to start your visit of the historical centre of Naples. The Neapolis is located right in the historic centre, close to the essential churches of San Lorenzo, San Domenico and the Duomo. The beautifully laid-out Archaeological Museum is nearby. The Capodimonte Museum is about the only location requiring public transport. Also close to the hotel is the relatively new modern art gallery museum, MADRE. This is an international collection that includes Italy’s best, and hosts prestigious world travelling exhibitions. It really tries hard and generally succeeds. At the risk of sounding trite, MADRE is one of Naples hidden gems. It has good places to eat, particularly Pizzeria La Locanda del Grifo which is inexpensive. Their pizzas are fragrant and live in the memory for a long time. Hotel Neapolis is located in the middle of the Decumano Major also know as via Tribunali, the heart of Napoli. Neapolis hotel is great place to start your Naples tour and very awesome to have a good stay and a very well accomodation. When you walk out of the hotel, you are right at one of the main historical streets: Via Tribunali. This small authentic street is full of local little specialised shops, from mini markets to a bakery and from a take a way pizza or sweet pastry till local trattoria’s and restaurants. The Neapolis is a comfortable, European-style hotel in the heart of Naples in a teaming neighborhood full of narrow streets, shops and eateries. Nice little place just two blocks away from the National Archeological Museum, that houses all the artifacts from Pompeii. Plus it is in a great district for walking through the little streets and shops. Rooms – really nice – large, comfortable. “Mine had large double doors facing westwards over the square and church…great evening sun. I thought the bathroom was a very decent size, especially for Europe. Shower was a bit on the small side but again nothing new for Europe”. “The size of the room was very good but the bathroom (and the shower) was small but adequate. Breakfast was served in a little dining room, was copious and varied, and included the best coffee I have ever tasted”.
